The perfect vacation for your extended family
Whitecaps Retreat is on the Kraut Point peninsula stretching from Creaser’s Cove on the east to the sandy beach at low tide on the west. From the crest in the middle of the property there are panoramic views of the ocean on 3 sides where you will see Whitecaps Summit. They are sister cottages – far enough to have privacy, but close enough for two groups wanting to rent both cottages. On the Creaser’s Cove side, the deep waters are favourite among sailors. The east side (Creaser’s Cove side) of Whitecaps is the best location for launching kayaks, paddle boards, and other small water crafts while the west side is perfect for beach-combing, walks, and swimming.

My girlfriends and I booked Whitecaps for a spur of the moment weekend getaway. The property was beautiful. The layout of the cottage was perfect for the 4 us and it is cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed drinks on the deck in the afternoon sun, watching the sunset, walking the beach, and sitting around the fire. Location is great, close to the Lahave ferry and Lunenburg. Loved the Rose Bay General Store! We couldn’t have picked a more perfect location. Jacqui and Andy are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back next year!
We made the right choice with Whitecaps Retreat as it was exactly as advertised! The location was private yet only 15 minutes away from beaches, restaurants and other attractions. The ocean view from the house is gorgeous with a great deck to enjoy it from. The home itself has a great layout and is well appointed with a kitchen that has any appliance you could possibly need. Our grandkids spent hours on the private beach especially at low tide.
The owners were very helpful prior to our arrival by answering our questions. This is a great property and everything it is advertised to be. It truly is a rare find.
Exceptional new custom vacation home that far exceeded our expectations. A very clean, well maintained, fully stocked and furnished cottage with all the comforts of home. Having a secluded scenic water front location with fantastic views yet convenient to towns, shopping and restaurants along with being ideally located for days trips. We also had a Doe and Yearling Deer make a daily morning visit eating clover around the patio “priceless”. Our 6 day father and son trip to Whitecaps Retreat was far to short and we hope to return in the future (wish I could have brought your cool/clean air back to Houston, Texas).
